Cant rails are most commonly used with feather edge boards to create closeboard fencing.
These rails have a bevelled / angled edge that’s designed so rain water wont sit on the rail. We recommend using cant rail when your constructing a closeboard fence. The reference to (2ex) means the rails are cut from a 125mm x 47mm section of timber, therefore creating 2 rails from 1 section of timber.
